We where so excited when Gabby and Jordan contacted us about their wedding at the Cleveland Museum of Art just months after meeting them both at Ian and Melissa’s wedding last summer. Â Jordan is Ian’s little brother and Gabby was one of Melissa’s bridesmaids. Â It was so fun to see so many familiar faces, as well as making some new friends on Gabby’s side of the family.
Jordan and Gabby both started the day at the Courtyard in University Circle. Â The mood in Jordan’s suite was relaxed and comfortable as he and the guys took in some collage football before the day really took off. Â Gabby and her girls lounged in their floral robes and sipped mimosas while having their hair and makeup done. Â Gabby’s Mom helped her into her dress while they shared a brief touching moment before being whisked off to the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the stunningly beautiful Amasa Stone Chapel located on the CWRU campus just across the street from the Cleveland Museum of Art. Â The highlight of the ceremony was when Gabby’s Mom sang a song with the help of a close family friend on guitar. Â She performed it beautifully and you can see in the photos what this meant to Gabby.
After the ceremony, we took Gabby and Jordan outside to get started with their wedding day portraits. Â The architecture of the church and the late afternoon light provided us some fantastic situations to shoot in and we are quite happy with what we were able to create. Â We made our way across the street to Wade Lagoon with the Bridal party making use of the beautiful surrounds around the art museum.
The reception took place inside the Atrium at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Pieter Bouters and his team along with Tricia Dever of Always Eventful Event Planning along with the staff at the museum knocked it out of the park again with their event design and decor. Â It’s not easy to make such a cavernous space feel cozy and inviting but that’s exactly what they where able to do.
Gabby and Jordan – congratulations! Â We had such a great day with you guys and we’re excited to show you what we have. Â Here are some of our favorites!
