Amasa Stone Chapel is a gothic stone chapel located on the Case Western Reserve University campus. The University uses it for academic events and makes it available to rent for wedding ceremonies. You do need a connection to CWRU to be able to rent the chapel. If you or anyone in your family has graduated from or worked for the University, you should qualify.
Ceremonies
The chapel is a stunning classical setting for a wedding ceremony. In the late afternoon, the sun streams through the windows and bathes the alter in light. The chapel can seat over 500 guests so it should be large enough to host even the biggest weddings.
Bridal Party Portraits
Aside from being an excellent ceremony location, there are some really great opportunities for amazing images with your bridal party. The massive window in the balcony is a stunning backdrop and the north light that streams in is perfect for portraits. Step outside and the stone exterior and landscaping are great for outdoor photos too.
What We Love About Amasa Stone Chapel
Dramatic light meets gothic architecture in the best ways possible. It’s perfectly located across the street from the Cleveland Museum of Art so the photo opportunities are endless. If you are planning an Amasa Stone Chapel wedding, we would love to be a part of it!
