We see lots of moments and creative images but what about family formals? Do you capture those?
Yes, we do! In fact, we go over the list of family photos and who is to be included at the final planning meeting which takes place about 1 month before the wedding. We think they are an important part of the day and often are included in the custom album but we simply don’t show many online.
How far in advance do you book?
Couples often book us shortly after they’ve booked a reception venue which is usually about 8-14 months before their wedding. Popular months like June and September and holiday weekends are the first to fill up.
Who is actually going to show up at our wedding?
If you choose us to photograph your wedding (which we really hope you do) you can be assured that it will be the two of us, James and Genevieve, who will go through the planning process with you, will be the ones to show on your wedding day to photograph your wedding, and will walk you through the wedding album process if you choose to make one. The only thing that would prevent us from being at your wedding would be a medical emergency or an act of God. If something like that were to come up, we would instantly be in contact with our local and national network of photographer friends to find someone to photograph your wedding. We truly hope that it will never come to that but we’ll do everything in our power to make sure that you are not left out in the cold on your wedding day.
We are interested in digital files. Are they included?
The digital files are automatically included with a purchase of an album credit. If you choose not to purchase an album credit, the digital files are available à la carte for $800 and will include the entire set of delivered images in high-resolution jpeg format with a personal usage license.
What camera equipment do you use?
We use Canon professional-grade DSLR bodies, lenses, and flashes as well as Profoto monolights when needed. We also love our MagMod lighting modifiers which give us a ton of creative control and options on the fly. While we often update the equipment that we use to make sure that we always have the best tool for the job, we have been shooting with Canon camera equipment for so long that it really feels like an extension of our hands. This allows us to focus on the important things happening in front of or around us and things like camera settings, exposure settings, and lens selection are now totally second nature.
Can you pencil us in?
Wedding dates are strictly booked on a first-come, first-serve basis and we simply can’t offer any guarantee on a date until we have received a retainer payment and signed agreement.
We’d love to book! How do we reserve our date?
Thrilled to hear you’d like to book us! If you would like to secure your wedding date with us, please use our contact form to check availability for your date. If your date is available, we can set up a consultation to meet with the photography team of your choice. If you do not feel that a face to face meeting is necessary, just let us know and we can send all the information you need to reserve your date through our online booking system.
