For Brittany and Matthew’s wedding at Stambaugh Auditorium, we got to travel to an area of Ohio that we don’t get to visit very often; Youngstown, Ohio! Â There is a lot of history and culture in Youngstown and Brittany and Matthew did a fantastic job of showcasing this by the venues and locations that they chose for their wedding.
Preparations took place at the recently renovated Hilton Hotel in downtown Youngstown. Â The building is a historic space brought up to current day features and decor that is a real pleasure to shoot in. Â The suites were spacious and comfortable and the ballroom space up in the penthouse floor provided the perfect space for their private first look together. Â After the first look, we took off to Felllows Riverside Gardens for family portraits, creatives with the bridal party, and with Brittany and Matthew. Â It’s been quite a while since we have photographed at Fellows and it was a lot of fun to walk the grounds again. Â From Fellows, we made our way to the crown jewel of the day; Stambaugh Auditorium. Â From the corinthian pillars out front to the tall iron and glass windows, the stunning ceremony site and beautiful staircases, this place provided nearly endless opportunities. Â We really hope we get to return to shoot more weddings here in the future.
But as great as the venues and locations were, it was the people that really made this day special. Â Brittany just beamed with joy and enthusiasm all day, Matthew was incredibly kind and gracious to us and everyone we saw him interact with and their families made us feel right at home. Â Thank you so much for making us a part of your day, Brittany and Matthew! Â Enjoy a small sample of some of our favorites moments from the day with much more to come very soon!
