This past October we had the pleasure of joining Matthew and Emily for their wedding at Landerhaven in Cleveland, Ohio. Matt and Emily first met in California where they both held tech jobs in Silicon Valley. The initial mutual respect for each other’s intellect and technical abilities blossomed into an admiration that was strong enough to convince Matt to move all the way across the country to Cleveland, Ohio to be with Emily. I was interested in hearing Matt’s impression of our fair city after living and working in Silicon Valley and it seems as though Cleveland has made a very good impression. He loves showing his California friends around town and watching the look of surprise and amazement when all of their preconceived notions about Cleveland dissolve away.
While we had initially planned to take Matt and Emily outside around the grounds at Landerhaven, the Ohio weather had other ideas for us. Matt and Emily had their first look in the main lobby under the chandelier then we set off to find all the interesting nooks and corners that Landerhaven had to offer. This was a perfect opportunity to use some new and different lighting techniques that we have been thinking about for a while, and we really like some of the results. Definitely something we can use in the future!
Matt and Emily had their ceremony under the chuppah with their parents, siblings, and bridal party close at hand. Cocktail hour was followed by dinner and dancing in the Grand Ballroom with live music provided by The Grand Avenue Band. A friend of the family provided the exquisite floral decor and Susie Cargile along the staff at Landerhaven helped the entire evening go off without a hitch so that Matt and Emily could the wedding they dreamed of. We are so glad we could be a part of it and we’re looking forward to showing you everything we have in store! Here’s just a sampling of some of our favorites from the day. Congratulations, Matthew and Emily!
