We recently had the honor of joining Laura and Anthony to document their wedding at Concordia Lutheran Church and Greystone Hall in Akron, Ohio. Laura and Anthony met at work where they have both committed their professional lives to helping others in need. It was really great to see the two of them take a short break from that to celebrate their marrieage along with their family and closest friends.
Laura’s sister and brother in law were gracious enough to host the bridal party at their beautiful home for wedding day preparations. Anthony and his brothers started the day with a little bit of vintage arcade video games and a nip of Cleveland Underground bourbon while the girls had hair and makeup done by the very talented Andi Wheatley. Laura and Anthony had their first look in the front lawn before we piled into the limo for creative portraits with the bridal party at Greystone Hall and Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens.
After the ceremony at the historic Concordia Lutheran Church in Akron, Laura and Anthony joined their guests back at Greystone Hall for cocktail hour, dinner, lots and lots of cookies, and of course, dancing. We loved seeing both the young and the old out on the dance floor celebrating with the couple. I think my favorite part of the day was when we took a chance at the end of the night and brought Laura and Anthony to the parking deck across the street. I noticed that the stair well was lit in a deep yellow light that would contrast nicely with the rich, blue late evening sky. That, combined with the geometry of the garage offered some great potential for interesting photographs and we’re super excited about what we where able to create with them!
Laura and Anthony; thank you so much for making us a part of this important time in your lives. We really enjoyed getting to know you and we are so glad we got to create the images below. These are just some of our favorites with lots more to come very, very soon. Enjoy!
