Nick & Robin

We are finally down to posting our last couple of weddings from 2018 and we are so glad we got end on such a high note!  Our penultimate wedding of 2018 was with Robin and Nick at Cleveland’s newly renovated Ritz Carlton Hotel.  It was one of those blustery fall Ohio days where the weather just couldn’t decide what kind of a day it wanted to be.

We started with prep at the Ritz but we hadn’t fully committed on where the first look was going to be as that largely depended on the weather.  We waited until the absolute last second to make a decision, and it looked like we had a clear spot on the radar, so Nick jumped in an Uber and Robin jumped in the limo and we all headed off to the Cultural Gardens for their first look. Just as the limo pulled away to go pick up the bridal party, the wind started to pick back up and a few rain drops started to fall.  We got sprinkled on a little and thankfully we had some umbrellas handy but the limo returned not a moment too soon as the rain poured down in buckets on our way back to downtown Cleveland.  Just as we pulled up to our backup indoor location, the sun appeared and we had some gorgeous light to use all around the library, Mall C and Public Square.  We couldn’t have planned it better!

Even with all the suspense caused by the weather, Robin and Nick perfectly followed our advice of not sweating the little details on your wedding day and just enjoying your time with your family and friends to the fullest.  We had some much fun with these guys and they made us feel so welcome and so at ease.

Both the ceremony and reception inside the Ritz were absolutely gorgeous thanks to the amazing staff at the Ritz and the floral design from Lowe’s Greenhouse.  Shout! band packed the dance floor to capacity.  It was a fantastic day and we are so glad we got to be a part of it.  Congrats, Robin and Nick!
