In anticipation of Caleb’s first birthday, I captured a family portrait session at their home near Cleveland. We made sure to include some of his Korean heritage and traditions into the photo session. It was fun to learn more about Korean first birthday customs and what the various parts stand for. I enjoyed the colorful outfits Caleb and his parents wore. Since it was not the actual birthday, I was not able to taste any of the traditional foods which I’m sure are delicious. Hopefully this isn’t the last time I get to photograph a Korean birthday and their family.
