Quail Hollow State Park, nestled in Hartville, Ohio, spans approximately 700 acres of rolling meadows, marshes, pine and deciduous woods, centered around a distinctive 40‑room manor house. Originally private property, this estate became a public park in 1975 and is now managed by Stark Parks. The mature woodlands, open lawns, and historic architecture provide a wide array of settings to family portraits, engagement sessions, or bridal parties.
The park’s versatile landscapes make it ideal across seasons: spring’s blooming gardens and soft light, summer’s lush foliage, fall’s vibrant leaves, and winter’s serene snow scenes each offer distinct moods. Shady Lane Pond and thoughtfully placed picnic areas provide convenient staging areas and amenities during sessions. The manor and its gardens are also available for event rentals, which may offer additional access or permits for more formal shoots.
Fun fact – this is where James and Genevieve had their wedding ceremony!
