The Cleveland History Center is a sprawling complex in the center of University Circle that houses several museums and attractions all under one roof. It is operated by The Western Reserve Historical Society; one of the oldest cultural institutions in Northeast Ohio.
Hanna Courtyard Garden
The Hanna Garden is surrounded on all four sides by the historic Hay-McKinney mansion and can only be access through the museum. We love the iron work and, stone work and landscaping.
Hay-McKinney Mansion Courtyard
Around the corner and through the museum from Hanna Garden is the Hay-MkKinney courtyard with features the exterior facades of the mansion. the landscaping and architecture has a distinctly Mediterranean feel and the best backdrops are perfectly protected from the late afternoon sun.
Hay-McKinney Mansion Interior
Between the two courtyards is a sprawling labyrinth of interesting rooms and hallways with beautiful window light.
Grand Carousel Pavilion
The Grand Carousel Pavilion houses a meticulously reconstructed and maintained carousel that once was the center of Euclid Beach Park.
Ceremonies
Ceremonies can take place in the Hanna Garden. It’s a beautiful setting but be warned that the spot where you would be standing for your vows would likely be in direct sun if you are getting married mid-summer.
