The Cleveland Cultural Gardens are a collection of 31 unique gardens celebrating different ethnicities in Cleveland. The gardens stretch along Rockefeller Park in the University Circle neighborhood just North of the Cleveland Museum of Art. The gardens are all beautifully designed and maintained. There are a lot of textures, colors, and looks available to choose from. In addition to being a beautiful setting for your wedding photos, it’s an excellent way to incorporate some of your own cultural heritage if there is a garden that represents your culture.

Parking and access to the gardens is readily available along East Boulevard and the nearby side streets. The gardens are all connected along East Boulevard making it quite easy to hit two or three gardens on foot.

Italian

The Italian garden is the crown jewel of all the gardens. The Italian garden is comprised of two levels with a renaissance style fountain, two winding stone staircases, and a renaissance amphitheater on the lower level.

Hungarian

The Hungarian garden is located just south of the Italian making it very easy to stop at both with a little variety. The centerpiece of the garden is a large fountain with a wrought iron gate leading to the terrace and the lower level.

Greek

As you enter the Greek garden, you pass between two Doric columns reminiscent of ancient structures like the Parthenon or the Acropolis. The centerpiece is a sunken garden and a large stone pylon representing the Parthenon in Greece.

German

The German garden is an open rectangular lawn surrounded by a low wall and statues.

Irish

In the Irish garden, you will find a central fountain plaza and sandstone walkways that form the shape of a Celtic cross.

The size, breadth, and history of the Cultural Gardens provide a limitless array of options if you are looking for a classic, natural look with a nice touch of stonework and architecture. We have a long way to go before we can say that we have photographed at all of the gardens and we would love to tick some more off the list!
