Windows on the River

Windows on the River weddings and event spaces

2000 Sycamore St, Cleveland, OH 44113

(216) 861-1445

What was formerly the FirstEnergy Powerhouse in Cleveland’s Flats district has been restored and rebranded as Windows on the River. The exposed brick construction, tall arches, and smokestacks make it an instantly recognizable structure and its location right on Cleveland’s waterfront makes it perfectly situated for a Downtown Cleveland wedding.  Windows has several different event spaces with each room providing a different view and ambiance.  It offers a range of catering packages including hors d’oeuvres, salads, entrees, and a full bar which are all supplied in-house so there would be no need to find an outside caterer for your wedding.  Parking is ample and very easy to access.

Bridge View Room

The Bridge View Room offers amazing views of Cleveland’s bridges to the Northwest.  The exposed brick and floor to ceiling windows give the Bridge View Room plenty of old city charm and the late afternoon sun streams through the windows on a clear day.  We’ve been able to use this light to great effect during Morgan and Tim’s first dance.  The Bridge View Room can seat up to 400 guests with adjacent rooms for cocktail hour.

City View Room

The City View Rooms features tall, vaulted ceilings supported by exposed steel beams and a large bank of floor to ceiling windows boasting a spectacular view of Cleveland’s city skyline to the east.  We have seen cocktail hour take place on the mezzanine level overlooking the City View Room and on the patio just outside the room on the boardwalk bordering the Cuyahoga River.  The City View Room can seat 300 guests.

Photo Locations Nearby

Since Windows on the River is right in the middle of the West Bank of the Flats, there are many photo locations all within walking distance.  Some of these include:

  • The Shooters Bridge
  • The Boardwalk
  • The Red Pivoting Bridge
  •  The Superior Viaduct

Aquarium

The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is located in the basement of Windows on the River and for an additional fee, you can add this space to your event either as a photo location or for cocktail hour.  We haven’t yet had the opportunity to use this space during a wedding but we would really like to!

Below you will find links to past weddings that we have photographed at Windows on the River.  If you are planning a wedding at Windows and you are looking for a photographer, we would love to hear from you!
