WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
Genevieve and I are here for you! Nothing is changing in our commitment and ability to serve and work with you. We are 100% committed to giving everything we have on your wedding day.
We care for you deeply. We know many of you are in hard, fearful, and emotionally exhaustive situations. It sucks. We are with you in it.
While the state of Ohio is still allowing weddings to happen, a significant number of our couples are making the difficult decision to postpone or downsize their wedding plans because the current guidelines limit the number of people that can participate in the celebration.
We are going to try to be as flexible as possible if you feel you decide to reschedule your wedding coverage with us. We are not encouraging that decision or outcome; we simply are ensuring everyone has equal information.
OUR DATE RESCHEDULING POLICY
We are here for you; supportive and ready. In accordance and keeping with our contracts to you, we will allow date reschedules if you request it and if we are available.
We are only considering date reschedules for clients who have events within the next 90 days. This 90-day window is a rolling window of time. This means that whenever you are reading this, if your wedding is more than 90 days from now, we can’t yet consider rescheduling.
We need to ensure that the couples who are closest to their wedding date with the most immediate need have a shot at finding a new date.
We are not able to offer EVERY date; we are already booked for many Spring, Summer, and Fall dates. We would suggest:
- 2020 and 2021 Friday, Sunday or midweek dates
- November 2020 or January, February, March, April 2021
We can offer a one-time transfer to a new date with no additional fees, pending availability, as long as it is not a prime 2021 Saturday (any Saturday from May and October).
We can transfer your retainer to a prime Saturday in 2021, pending availability, with a date transfer fee of $750. This is not meant to punish or hurt you; only to help soften the economic blow of giving up another prime wedding date in 2021. In addition to transferring your date, we would also like to offer an additional hour of coverage or three free spreads in your album if you chose this option.
We strongly recommend that you consider Fridays or Sundays, or Saturdays outside of peak season. This increases the chances of availability for all of your vendors substantially.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
We are receiving a fair amount of requests for date changes. Please know that while we cannot accept and offer every date that you might want, we will do our best. Please, be patient with us. We are all in this together, and we are doing our best to be helpful and considerate of your requests.
Please understand – weekend dates are a commodity to us; they are inherently valuable. When you are booking with us, you are largely paying for a date of coverage. Providing you a date reschedule is a huge gesture and act of customer service to you and something we have never offered in the past.
Essentially, moving your date to a new date means that we will be unable to book further events or business on that date. It’s important that you are aware of how big of an impact this has on us.
We are a small family business and we rely heavily on the income associated with weddings to pay our bills and ourselves. We are doing our best to be as helpful as can but this has been a pretty big blow to our business.
Please work with us early in the process. We understand you are balancing quite a few vendors (venue, florist, DJ, Coordinator, Caterer, etc) but we would appreciate being contacted as soon as you are considering new dates.
If you are serious about rescheduling your date, please do the following:
- Contact us immediately; email is best.
- Please tell us your preference on dates/weekends for rescheduling, if any
- Please convey to us if you are “just considering” or are ready to make a date change
Thank so much for trusting us to photograph your wedding. We will get through this. Stay safe.
