A romantic scene with a newlywed couple sharing a kiss under a street lamp on a snowy night in Cleveland, with illuminated signs and city lights blurred in the background.

Emma & Kurt

A Winter Wedding at the Union Club in Cleveland

Emma and Kurt’s winter wedding at the Union Club in Cleveland, Ohio was an elegant, classy affair with good food and good drinks in a beautiful, historic setting.  Both Emma an Kurt are easy going individuals and they let that show in their relationship.  They are both kind, patient, and were just a pleasure to be around on their wedding day.

Emma’s day started at the Union Club where she joined up with her bridesmaids for hair and makeup while Kurt and his groomsmen convened at Emma’s parent’s new home.  In an interesting twist of timing,  the movers where still helping Emma’s family move in the morning of the wedding while the guys got dressed. Talk about an exciting week!  Hopefully things have settled down a little for the Knoth family and they can enjoy their new home.

The ceremony took place at St. Dominic where Emma’s family have been long time members and where Emma was an altar server in her childhood.  The priest officiating has known the Knoth family for many many years and was able to add the perfect personal touch to the ceremony.  I think my favorite moment of the day was when Emma popped out of the bridal room for a minute to see her Dad.  They shared a very powerful moment together and we where quite honored to be able to capture that for them.

After the ceremony, we ran off with the bridal party to the Art Museum for photos near the South entrance.  The bridesmaids where absolute troopers but we tried to not keep them in the cold any longer than we needed to.  We retreated back to the warmth of the Union Club just as the snow started to fall.  We saw the opportunity to make something unique so we grabbed Emma and Kurt, headed out on foot to the Playhouse Square chandelier and created our favorite portraits of the day just as the snow was starting to fall.

Emma and Kurt; thank you so much for trusting us with the memories of your wedding day and we hope you treasure these images for many years to come!  Here are just a few of our favorites with much more to come very soon!

A wedding dress hanging by a window, its reflection visible in a mirror, highlighted by warm indoor lighting and elegant decor for the ceremony. A classy wristwatch and a silver bow tie resting on the keys of a Steinway & Sons piano, with focus on elegant detailing and a refined background, perfect for a Cleveland ceremony. A black and white photo capturing a joyful bride laughing while sitting, as an older woman, possibly her mother, carefully fits her wedding shoe. The setting is a room in Cleveland with large windows and curtains. A bride in a white gown holding a bouquet walks beside a large Christmas tree and an elegant staircase, in a warmly lit room with a cream wall during her ceremony. A man in a white dress shirt adjusts his cufflinks next to a large window in a room lined with wooden bookshelves, preparing for a wedding ceremony. A black and white photo showing a young man adjusting his bow tie during a ceremony, flanked by two blurred figures in the foreground, likely getting assistance or moral support. Three men in a room with a bookshelf, one fixing another's bow tie while the third observes. A mirror shows their reflection, enhancing the depth of the scene at a Cleveland wedding. A bride in a white dress laughs joyfully with her bridesmaids and an older woman in a black dress at the reception, all sharing a light-hearted moment in a room with white walls. A tender moment at a wedding reception in Canton, showcasing a bride hugging an older man, likely her father, both displaying emotional expressions. The bride holds a bouquet while sunlight enhances the serene black and white setting. A joyful bride in a beaded strap dress wipes away tears with a tissue while smiling at an older man, possibly her father, in an emotionally charged black and white photo taken in Cleveland.
