We are super excited to share some images from Justin and Kate’s wedding at the Westin in Cleveland, Ohio. We have really enjoyed getting to know the both of them through the planning process and their engagement session. They are both kind, thoughtful, disarming people who know not to take themselves too seriously and who really know how to have a good time. This last trait was evident all throughout the wedding day as we watched them interact with their family, bridal party and guests. There was no shortage of burst out loud laughter, hugs, kisses, a few tears, and a lot of letting loose on the dance floor.
We started the day with preparations at the Westin followed by a first look at staircase outside the ballroom. We got our photo juices flowing there at the Westin before meeting up with the bridal party on the party bus. We had a beautiful day to work with so Justin and Kate opted to show some hometown pride with the script sign on the East 9th St. Pier. Justin had bought each of his groomsmen a basketball jersey from their favorite NBA team. The jerseys made several appearances throughout the day. The jersey/bowtie look is going to be the next hot thing so definitely keep an eye out for that. It all started right here, folks.
From the pier, the party bus took on the (ahem) scenic route to the art museum but not before making a quick stop by Constantinos to re-supply. Thankfully, we took a much more direct route back to the Westin so we could be there in time for family photos, the ceremony and the reception that followed. The ceremony was officiated by a long time family friend which added the perfect personal touch. The reception dance floor was on fire the whole night and we were able to come home with way more awesome dance floor moments than we could possibly include in this blog post.
A huge shout out goes out to Elegant Events by Maria, Reilly’s Originals, We Are The Radio, and the staff at the Westin for being so instrumental in pulling together such a great day for these two.
