We have been looking forward to Jeff and Jessica’s wedding at the Union Club in Cleveland ever since I had the chance to get to know them during their engagement session last summer. Â Both Jeff and Jess are kind, caring, fun loving people who absolutely belong together. Â As beautiful as the ceremony and reception were, it was very clear to us as photographers that they valued and treasured their relationships with their family and friends beyond all else on their wedding day. Â It was especially touching to watch Jessica, her mom, and two brothers band together as they celebrated with Jessica and comforted each other as they remembered and missed her father.
The ceremony took place at St. John’s Cathedral in Downtown Cleveland. Â Jessica had the good fortune of having her childhood friend who has since entered the priesthood officiate, giving the ceremony an extra personal touch.
After the ceremony, we headed off to the East 9th Street pier for a view of the skyline and lakefront, with a short stop by the now iconic “Cleveland” sign right on the marina. Â We then worked our way towards Public Square which we got to look at in an entirely different way after the recent renovations.
The reception at The Union Club was the perfect balance of cozy and elegant thanks to the combined efforts of Jess and her mom, Blooms by Plantscaping, Kirkbrides Wedding Planning and the excellent Union Club staff. Â The CMG Orchestra kept the dance floor packed elbow to elbow the entire night and everyone seemed to have a genuinely good time. Â I know we did!
Jeff & Jess; it has been such a pleasure getting to know you and it was such an honor to spend your wedding day with you! Â Here are just a handful of our favorites from the day. Â Enjoy!
