This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of kicking off 2012 with Stephanie and Stan’s wedding at the Old Cuyahoga Courthouse in downtown Cleveland. We had the good fortune of running into Stephanie and Stan a week before their wedding at a little get together to celebrate the birthday of a mutual friend, Devin, the husband of wedding planning sensation Heidi of Heidzillas. This gave us the chance to briefly connect on a more personal level outside of wedding planning madness which, interestingly, can make the day of the actual wedding go much better as everyone is simply more comfortable with everyone else.
The weather wasn’t too terribly cooperative for our planned outdoor photo ideas, but luckily, Stan had a killer indoor location in his back pocket; the partially renovated building the houses the company he co-founded with two of his groomsmen. We could have shot in there for hours, but we were told there was a ceremony to get to.
In other firsts, we finally got to work with the talented Red Bicycle Media cinema crew, and Brittany of Heidzillas on the planning and coordinating end. What wasn’t a first, but always a pleasure is seeing The Avenue take charge of the party at the reception.
