This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of photographing Kara and Michael’s wedding at St. Basil the Great with an amazing reception at the Old Cuyahoga Courthouse in Cleveland. At the start of the day, I dropped Genevieve off at Kara’s parents house where she was getting ready, only to discover that Michael’s parent’s house, where he was getting ready, was literally around the corner. In fact, their back yards butted up against each other. Also, as it turns out, Michael and Kara have known each other and have been dating since the 8th grade. I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine that that combination didn’t lead to a few late night trips sneaking across the back yard to see each other through the years. I know I would have.
Fast forward to Saturday, and the wedding day couldn’t have gone more smoothly. thanks to Kara and her Mom’s careful planning the tireless efforts of Valarie and her team at Kirkbrides. The courthouse looked amazing and the energy created by DJ Scott E. Jones helped create an great night of celebration.
Congratulations, Michael and Kara!
