Jacee & Michael

A Spring Wedding at La Pizzeria

About a month before Jacee and Michael’s wedding at La Pizzaria in Canton, I received a very unusual phone call from Michael.  Cathedral of Life church, where Michael is Associate Pastor and where Michael and Jacee originally met many years ago, had suffered a fire the night before and had sustained extensive fire, smoke, and water damage.  Not only did this mean that Michael and his family had to find out where they would hold church services for the foreseeable future, but they also now had a month to find a new ceremony location somewhere in Canton, Ohio that could seat nearly seven hundred people.

After an extensive search, they were able to make arrangements with Crossroads United Methodist in Downtown Canton.  Crossroads is a beautiful, historic building and was once the place of worship for President McKinley, and most importantly, it was able to seat all the friends, family, and church family that came out to celebration Michael and Jacee’s wedding.

The deep connection that Michael and Jacee share through their faith was extremely evident all throughout the day.  Michael’s father, the head pastor at Cathedral of Life, officiated the ceremony and roughly two dozen area pastors joined in a joint prayer during a particularly touching moment in the ceremony.

Michael and Jacee – it has been such a pleasure getting to know you and we are so glad to have been a part of your wedding!  Below are some of our favorites from you day, and we can’t wait to show you the rest!

A toddler with wide, surprised blue eyes and tousled blond hair gets her hair styled by an adult woman in a sparkly blue dress. The setting looks warm and intimate, reminiscent of a home environment Two men in tuxedos share a joyful moment during a reception while looking at a card at a table, with one man affectionately leaning his head on the other's shoulder. Black and white A joyful moment captured in black and white at a wedding, showing a group of men in formal attire, laughing and enjoying one another's company in a close, friendly gathering. A bride in a robe looks at her wedding dress hanging by a window, illuminated by natural light, in a room with elegant curtains and decorative windows, preparing for her reception. Silhouetted portrait of three men in formal attire, standing in a dimly lit room with a glowing cross in the background. Their expressions are obscured by the low lighting. A bride in a white lace gown is helped by another woman in a black dress, adjusting the dress's train in a room with an elegant chandelier and stained glass windows during her wedding reception. A bride in a white dress is reflected in a makeup mirror, with a large portrait of Jesus with outstretched arms hanging on the wall behind her. A black and white portrait of a bridal party with a bride holding hands with a woman who is carrying a baby girl in a fluffy dress, the baby looking curiously at the camera. A black and white portrait of a bride and her father walking together, both dressed formally. The bride holds a bouquet of flowers, and they appear contemplative. A gleeful toddler in a fluffy white dress runs down a church aisle lined with guests and white floral decorations, red carpet underfoot, during a wedding ceremony.
