Back in 2013, when Megan and Collin got in touch with us to photograph their wedding, we were surprised to find out they were planning a wedding at the old Hotel Onesto. We didn’t know much about it – of course we had seen the building during our downtown Canton shoots – but we had always assumed that it was abandoned with no hope of rehabilitation. We had no idea how beautiful it had once been, or that it was in the process of having that beauty restored.
As it turns out, work had been ongoing for several years by the time they were planning their wedding, and was completed in time for a fall 2014 opening. The old hotel has been transformed into high end lofts – complete with a ballroom, dramatic lobby and bridal suite – a perfect space for weddings. Weddings that are being handled by the same team that coordinates weddings at the Canton Club, one of our favorite local venues, where we’ve always had great experiences.
Needless to say, we’ve been excited about photographing a wedding at the Historic Onesto Lofts for some time now, and Megan and Collin’s day didn’t disappoint! We started with a first look in the lobby, followed by creative portraits in and around the same space. The architecture, adornments and window light were perfect for photography. Megan and Collin both have strong connections to their families which made for some great emotional moments during the ceremony and reception, which both took place in freshly renovated ballroom.
Thanks for having us guys, we hope you love the photos!
