Alyssa and Pasquale wedding at The Marriott Key Center kicked off another epic Memorial Day weekend of shooting amazing weddings for us. Alyssa’s stunning, classic beauty and Pasquale’s magnetic personality where such a joy to photograph and we had such a great time getting to know their families.
The day started at The Marriott where both Alyssa and Pasquale prepared for the day along with their bridal party. Pasquale’s suite with filled to the brim with the kind of fun, laughter, and love that only a group of Italians from New York City can bring. Alyssa enjoyed a relaxing morning of hair and makeup, mimosas and some very touching moments with her Mom and Dad before being swept of for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the historic St. Paul’s Shrine on Euclid Ave. Pasquale and Alyssa shared little looks, comments, and laughs with each other all throughout the ceremony that only the very observant would have noticed. We watched closely and were able to capture quite a few of these little moments, which we were really excited about!
After the ceremony, we took off with the bridal party to the Italian Cultural Gardens where Pasquale was able to pull a little more of his cultural heritage into the coverage. The sun was out, the weather was perfect, and we were able to create some really great images with our time there before heading back to Downtown for the reception.
The reception quickly turned into a stellar dance party. The highlight of the reception was when Pasquale surprised Alyssa with airbrushed hoodies and a rap battle to the Eight Mile soundtrack. They duked it out over the mic, but in the end, I’d say they both won. :)
