Of all the locations all across Cleveland and Northeast, Ohio, we have probably shot more weddings at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio, than any other location. If you have ever been to a wedding at Glenmoor, or even taken a tour of the clubhouse or grounds, it would be easy to understand why. The clubhouse, originally built in 1930 as a seminary school has a tremendous amount of character, the staff is great, and the fact that there is a hotel, spa, and world class golf course all on the property makes it very convenient for out of town guests to be comfortable all weekend.
Ceremonies at Glenmoor Country Club
Every ceremony we have ever photographed at Glenmoor took place in what is still referred to as the chapel. With a beautifully buttressed ceiling, fireplace, chandeliers, and gorgeous stonework, it really is one of the very best spaces in the area for a wedding ceremony.
The two photos below are one of the more interesting ceremony setups we have seen. This was the second wedding in this family that we photographed, and both sisters set up their ceremony in the same way with the huppa in the center of the space instead of butted up against the fireplace. Not only does this mean that twice as many people now have a front row seat, but because of where the windows are and how the light streams through them in the afternoon, the quality of the light is substantially better.
Photo Locations at Glenmoor
Easily the most popular and easily identifiable photo location at Glenmoor (and where the staff will automatically take you and your photographer unless you specify otherwise) is the stone bridge on the lake. It’s great for a beautifully classic and romantic feel, but it’s not the only location on the property to shot.
Aside from the bridge, there are a lot of spots all around the property that can be put to great use depending on the time of day and time of year. We have been to Glenmoor enough times to get a pretty good lay of the land, but I doubt we have exhausted the possibilities.

Cocktail Hour at Glenmoor
While there are several options available, the most popular spot for cocktail hour is the center courtyard just off the St. Andrew’s Room. It’s a beautifully landscaped space smack in the center of the clubhouse and it provides a very comfortable space for guests to mix and mingle during cocktail hour.
Receptions at Glenmoor
Receptions at Glenmoor often take place in the same room where the ceremonies do; in the chapel. Because of this, the staff has become extremely efficient at “flipping” the room, meaning to convert it from a ceremony to a reception space in a very short period of time. This usually happens during cocktail hour and while the bridal party is doing do photos with their photographer. The guests never see a bit of it and their jaws usually hit the floor when they walk back into the room and it looks absolutely nothing like it did an hour ago.
