Megan always wanted to get married at a vineyard so when it came time to choose a venue for her and Ivan’s wedding, Gervasi Vineyard in North Canton was the perfect choice. Megan’s parents met in North Canton when they where teenagers so the area has a special significance for her and her family. The Ballaria Sophia in the Villa Grande offered the intimate environment for the ceremony and reception that they had envisioned. Megan and Ivan arranged their day to really maximize the amount and quality of time that they could spend talking and interacting with their friends and family. They had their first look inside the conservatory and we were able to finish all of the bridal party and family photos before any of the guests arrived. Once the ceremony started, we were able to stay completely hands off and just let them enjoy their day.
Ivan and Megan have a history with dance floors. Their first kiss took place on the perpetually sticky dance floor of Purdue’s Where Else bar their senior year and they are always the couple out lighting up the dance floor when they are guests at weddings. With Ivan’s background in ballroom dancing, there was a good chance that their first dance was going to be one to remember. And it was. They covered every corner of that dance floor and really set the pace for the rest of the evening. Everyone seemed to have a blast out there and it was so great seeing Megan and Ivan right in the middle of the action for most of the night.
Megan and Ivan – we had a great time with you guys and thank you so much for trusting us to photograph your day. We have a ton of great stuff for you guys but in the meantime here are some of our favorites. Enjoy!
