Jim and Maja are some of the warmest, most welcoming people we have had the pleasure of working with, and we are so glad that it worked out for us to be able to be a part of their wedding at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Â Their wedding perfectly reflected their personalities; it was simple, classic, favored quality over quantity, romantic, but without any of the stuffiness that can sometimes creep into weddings. Â In the end, the day was the important things; family, friends, and the celebration of a major life milestone for Jim and Maja. Â The rest was just icing on the cake.
Maja gathered with her bridesmaids at their apartment for prep while Jim’s brother hosted the guys at his place. Â It was a relaxed a fun morning all around and a great way to start the day. Â We all made our way to Edgewater Park for Jim and Maja’s first look and to incorporate a little hometown pride into the photos. Â It was a stunningly beautiful day and much of Cleveland was outside enjoying it. Â On land, and in the air, as you can see down below. Â We made a quick stop at Wade Lagoon before heading to the Botanical Gardens for the Ceremony.
One of my favorite parts of the day was that if you paid very close attention, you could find moments where Maja would just stop and take in all that was happening that day. Â She really seemed to make the most of these quiet moments and it was such a great challenge to capture that for her before the details of the day swept back in and grabbed her attention.
Following the ceremony, Jim and Maja treated their guests to a stunning multi-course dinner reception at Fahrenheit; one of the Cleveland’s best restaurants. Â Toasts where given, glasses where clinked, and a flask of traditional liquor distilled from pairs was passed around. Â Based on the din of voices in the room, everyone had an amazing time. Â No loud dance music or lighting needed.
Congrats, Maja and Jim; we are so glad we got to be a part of your day!
