Heather and I were really excited to shoot this wedding for three reasons – Erin and Alex heard about us through a past couple of ours that we really liked, so we knew they would be good people; Alex is a pilot and that’s just cool; and the wedding was at the Shoreby Club! Heather and I hadn’t been to there since 2009, and we’d very much been wanting to go back! It’s truly a choice Cleveland wedding venue – great outdoor ceremony and reception areas, views, food, and staff.
These turned out to be great reasons – Alex, Erin and their families were laid back, happy and fun, and Shoreby provided all the stunning photo material we could ask for.
The forecast called for rain about a week in advance, so Erin made a smart move and reserved the Connor Palace Theater as an indoor location. We got lucky early in the day and were able to get the first look and quite a few portraits done outside at the Shoreby Club, but we were grateful to have the backup location because we definitely needed it!
Because of the rain, the outdoor ceremony was moved inside, but the Shoreby staff handled it with no problems. Alex and Erin didn’t seem to mind – they just smiled and laughed their way through it! Shortly thereafter the weather cleared up revealing perfect temps and an amazing later summer sunset over the lake. The Shoreby Club is in the perfect position to take in the grandeur, so we made sure to get a few quick photos.
Thanks for having us A&E, you were great to work with. We hope you love the photos!
