Hey everyone,
More good news! Two more of our images placed in the second quarter 2008 WPJA Photo Contest.
Four times a year, the Wedding Photojournalist Association hosts a photo contest where photographers from around the world submit images for a variety of categories.
This image from Matt and Elizabeth’s wedding got 9th place in the “Getting Ready” category.

Here’s what the judges had to say about it:
JUDGES COMMENTS: There were many images entered in this category with hands coming through the wedding dress. This one rose above all of them. Excellent use of light and the out-stretched hands make the moment. Cropping out the white light at the top of the frame would significantly help the image. With the current crop, one’s eye is pulled to the top of the frame and away from the subject.
I saw a lot of these dress-over-the-head shots, but this one was the best. It looks like she’s being devoured. It has a nice graphic quality to it and I like that it is more abstract than other similar shots.
Also, this image from Aaron and Madeline’s wedding placed 18th in the “Emotion” category.
