It was just another cold, dank, and rainy morning when I met up with Michael and Melissa at the Cleveland House of Blues for their engagement session. While the House of Blues is a really interesting place to shoot, the weather only confirmed our decision to shoot the entire session indoors. As a photographer, this presents a unique set of challenges. Not being able to fall back on sunlight and all the different types of light the great outdoors offer means that each photo must be carefully crafted and lit in order to get the results we strive for. I might have taken a little longer than usual to create these images, and we certainly moved at a slower and more deliberate pace, but Michael and Melissa were fantastic to work with and I’m very proud of the results.
