The original plan for Jen and Kellen’s engagement session was to shoot the whole session at Edgewater Park where they have spent a good bit of time together in the past. About half way into the session, the topic of the abandoned Coast Guard Station on Whiskey Island came up, so we decided to go check it out. The exterior and the grounds are looking pretty rough these days but it’s still a very interesting structure that hopefully will be rehabilitated and put back to use soon. We were walking around the outside when I pushed on the front door, not expecting much to happen. To my surprise, the door swung in.
We finished the rest of the session inside the Station and as a result, Jen and Kellen will be enjoying the 7th and 8th images of this blog post on their walls for years to come.
